We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Manager with a background equivalent of 3-5+ years in compliance. If you have a background in regulations and compliance, this position will provide you with an important forward-facing advisory function for a company who is continually expanding their energy facilities and market penetration.
Our client has an entrepreneurial culture and prides itself on delivering results. They are willing to work with and train someone without the perfect background on paper.
THE ROLE:
The Regulatory Manager will be a subject matter expert across several programs and initiatives within the overall compliance and regulatory teams within the company. This position will support the Director and other team members within the compliance group as well as work alongside key internal stakeholders to advance our expertise in the field. This role also has a forward-facing communications component with our key customers and vendors who also are impacted by the regulatory frameworks at play. An international portfolio will also be involved as the company interacts with other global markets where carbon programs are in place or under development.
Our client is committed to developing their energy compliance team with the intention of adding a regulatory consultancy platform to their already impressive suite of services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consistently brings forward thinking ideas and action plans for future goals and compliance function enhancements
Stays up to date on industry changes, trends, laws, regulatory updates, and best practices
Update management on any upcoming regulatory changes
Liaison with commercial team on regulatory impacts on business
Support and lead optimization and innovation of system utilization around compliance
DETAILED DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:
New Regulatory Programs
Explore, learn, set-up and manage new regulatory programs as they are released and developed
Provide guidance and educate necessary personnel of the new regulatory programs
Develop and assist with new system and program set up, as needed, for new regulatory programs
Process Improvement
Advocate for process improvements across all regulatory programs
Reporting and Attestations
Support team on all annual and quarterly reporting as well as all required attestations across all regulatory programs

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or general business administration preferred
Equivalent of 5 years compliance experience
